Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are back together as the stars of the new Louis Vuitton campaign.
Twelve years after the last chapter of the historic Core Values project, the French Maison has decided to go big.
Annie Leibovitz Captures Federer & Nadal at 3,000 Meters
The lens of renowned American photographer Annie Leibovitz captured the two champions at an altitude of 3,000 meters in the Dolomites.
Engaged in a surprising sporting endeavor, they shared how every personal journey can reach incredible heights when accompanied by determination and a pioneering spirit.
Louis Vuitton’s New Campaign
“There are journeys that turn into legends,” states the campaign, reviving the project that, between 2007 and 2012, featured portraits by Annie Leibovitz of, for example, Muhammad Ali, Sean Connery, Angelina Jolie, and Bono Vox.
Federer & Nadal’s Legendary Climb
And the climb by Federer and Nadal is already legendary.
A rivalry that has not prevented them from becoming friends and has marked unforgettable matches.
From the five-hour final in Rome in 2006 to the “most intense match in tennis history” at Wimbledon 2008, up to King Roger’s retirement in London in 2022, with Nadal’s handshakes and tears after a doubles match played together.
Louis Vuitton’s Iconic Monogram Backpacks
The brand chose to equip Federer with the iconic Monogram Christopher backpack, while Nadal dons the Eclipse version.
The context metaphorically represents their professional journey, marked by obstacles and limits to overcome, as well as commitment and respect.
